Artist Statement
I can’t remember when I didn’t have a camera or didn’t want to explore the world around me through photography. For over forty years my passion for photography has managed to outlast the impulsiveness and short attention span in other parts of my life. Over time, my priorities have shifted from creating technically proficient, pretty pictures to creating meaningful art through photography.
"Moments"presents photographs in several styles and genres, striving to elicit emotional or thought-provoking reactions that cause the viewer to slow down and move through the work at something less than the lightning-swipe speed of Instagram.
